Dear Besiktas Fans,

We are closing out another year full of wins and losses. We are delighted to inform you that, last month, our Boxing Team won seven gold; three silver; and two bronze medals in the Seniors Boxing Tournament and grabbed the first place. Furthermore, our Handball Team qualified for the Last 16 of the Challenge Cup by eliminating prestigious Swedish squad, H43 Lund. This is the first time a Turkish ever knocked a Swedish team out of an international tournament and advanced to next round. I congratulate both teams for their outstanding effort they have shown so far.

As the oldest and greatest sports team in Turkey, I'm sure we will achieve many more accomplishments like these in 2009. Besiktas Gymnastics Club, which will be 106 years old this year, will continue to set an example to others with its highly respected ‘fair play' concept. Within the framework of this concept, we've recently managed to put an end to our previous hostilities with Bursaspor Club management and fans. Of course, we want to extend the hand of friendship not only to Bursaspor but to all our rivals out there. We hope to compete in atmosphere that promotes good sportsmanship and brotherhood on and off the field. No one should doubt our strong adherence to our Club's guiding principles set forth more than 105 years ago. In this respect, we will always endeavor to upgrade the quality of Turkish Football and stay away from the baseless rumors that are intended to harm our beloved Besiktas.

Dear Besiktas Fans,

We take this opportunity to wish our Honorary President, Mr. Süleyman Seba, who has been discharged from the hospital after completing a treatment, a speedy recovery. We hope to cut the ribbon on our new Fulya Süleyman Seba Sports Facilities this month, with a special ceremony. Thanks to this giant project, Besiktas will become the largest real estate holding sports club in Turkey. In addition to well-known state dignitaries, you are all invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony of the said new facilities, which will make all of us proud for many years to come. However, let's not forget, Fulya constitutes only one part of our new projects; and we have many others lined up for you in coming years. By executing these projects one by one, we hope to secure the future of Besiktas; and create a sports club envied by all. We, the members of Board of Governors are fully aware of the fact that; with your continuing support, there is nothing we cannot achieve in Turkey and abroad.

With these sincere thoughts, I wish you and your family a very happy aid.
